What is it?

SHAW invites proposals for its upcoming 2025-26 seminar series, held in collaboration with the IHR during the academic term time. The series offers a forum for speakers to present research investigating histories of women, gender, and sexuality from a hemispheric perspective that stretches from Canada to Argentina, Mexico to the Caribbean.

Themes and Format

Our broad CFP welcomes presentations on relevant themes from individuals and collectives including scholars, activists, and community organisations. The standard format for papers will be 40-minute presentations, though we encourage creativity in presentation styles including collaborative panels or discussions; book presentations; activist contributions; and round tables.
